KUSO英文小辭典─I’m outta here！我要閃人了！

台灣人喜歡熱鬧，場子若不熱鬧，很多人可能就要「閃」囉！而且這種閃人都不是因為還有其他要事，不得不離開，而是出於「自由意志」，這時你便可以說：「I’m outta here!」這裡的「 outta」 是「 out of」。其他類似的用語還有：「I’m leaving!」「I’m taking off!」「I’m done with this!」
A：There aren’t any cute girls at the KTV party today. It’s so boring—I’m outta here!
B：Wait--don’t leave until you’ve paid your part of the bill!
A：今天的KTV聚會都沒有漂亮美眉。真無聊，我要閃人了！
B：等等，你得付了你那部分的錢再閃！

我看《玫瑰的名字》
之前聽說，這是一本推理小說，本著長期被偵探漫畫養出的一點喜好，加上自己也好奇這種古代修道院的背景能蘊育怎樣的推理故事，我便找了這本書來看。
在書中，我看到了一種封閉，那種雖然發生在中世紀歐洲，對當代台灣讀者而言卻也不算太陌生的封閉─就是有些人，自認在社會具有名望，就自以為能任意評斷一切、而且有權「教育」他人應該如何，實際卻是專橫地干預。君不見有人，整天說人漫畫看多，批評別人寫了爛小說，還說枯燥的文章要適應，現在又管起電影～實在是莫名其妙，自我感覺超級良好，看他推薦的書還ＯＫ，但他自己的書不看也罷！
故事文字還不太會解讀，不過有句話格外讓我有好感，大意是：書本不是用來盲從，而是用來啟發你的思攷，理解作者想說些什麼樣的話，比他寫了什麼來得重要～讓人聯想赫塞詩裡說的，書本一步一步引導人回到自己的內部，儘管未必會給人帶來幸福。乏味的教科書跟考試，傷害了讀書這件事的觀感，結果一堆人離開學校都不碰書，閱讀風氣糟糕該怪誰？
此書的繁體版，是由「大頭春」─張大春導讀的，不過我看的倒不是這版，而是由對岸上海譯文印行的簡體版；我不懂義大利文，所以也不知哪邊翻譯得好，只覺得這是有豐富歐洲古代宗教知識的書，也是另類的Holmes與Waston！
